This Privacy Policy explains what information Glasswave (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Glasswave apps and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: we process your documents and audio to provide the service, and we don't sell your data.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
- Account information — when you sign in (e.g. with Google), we receive your name and email address to create and secure your account.
- Content you provide — documents (PDFs, books), text you enter, and audio or video files you upload or record for transcription.
- Usage & device data — basic logs and aggregate analytics (e.g. pages visited, errors) to keep the service running and improve it.
- Payment information — handled entirely by our payment provider (see §5). We do not see or store your full card details.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the core service: convert text to speech, transcribe audio to text, and read your documents aloud.
- To manage your account, subscription, and credit balance.
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve quality and reliability.
4. How your content is processed and retained
Your content is used only to provide the service. Files you upload are processed to extract text and generate audio, and are not retained on our servers after processing (process-and-delete). Extracted text may be cached on your own device so you can keep reading offline. Generated audio is streamed to you on demand and is not stored for re-use by other users. We do not use your content to train AI models.
5. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate Glasswave:
- Google Firebase — sign-in and authentication.
- LemonSqueezy — our Merchant of Record; processes payments, subscriptions, and applicable taxes. Your payment details are handled by LemonSqueezy under their privacy policy.
- Groq — speech-to-text transcription. Audio you submit for transcription is sent to Groq solely to produce your transcript.
- Hosting & infrastructure — cloud hosting and temporary storage used to run the service.
6. Camera and microphone
With your permission, the Glasswave app may use your camera to scan text from a page; text recognition runs on your device. If you use voice features, your microphone audio is processed to produce a transcript. We request these permissions only when you use the related feature, and you can revoke them anytime in your device settings.
7. Data retention & deletion
Uploaded content is deleted after processing. Account information is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing kieumanh007@icloud.com.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA, UK, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
9. Children
Glasswave is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. International transfers
Glasswave is available worldwide and our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
